Band leader Mzee Saruni and his family play a unique style of traditional Giriama music (Giriama are one of the Mijikenda, the nine tribes of the Kenyan coast), called Zaire Ngoma \u2013 An uplifting and energetic conversation between their home-built drums , shakers and of course each other, calling on everyone to gather, dance and drink mnazi (palm wine) until there is none left.
